“Scouting the Theme Park” is a collection of songs, skits and dance all
themed around a day in the huge Funabaloo Family Fun Park.  The action
takes us from one ride to the next and centres around the stories of
the visitors, characters and staff.

This Gang Show Comedy Capers production ticks along like perfect
clockwork.  The transitions between songs and scenes are extremely
smooth and the set changes are as slick as any professional production.

To run this production so smoothly would involve considerable
logistical expertise as the cast number over 100 performers!
The many and varied sets add a splash of colour and fun to the numbers
and range from a huge water slide to the inside of a haunted house.
The costumes, made by a team of over 25 helpers, are colourful and
well made, especially the matching sparkly red and white outfits for
the finale.

The youthful cast are extremely enthusiastic and vary considerably in
skill level, but all look like they are having a great time and varied
selection of well-arranged music provides something for every taste.

Stand out numbers include the Pick Up Line Song, Somewhere Over The
Rainbow, We Are Young, The Halloween House sequence and The Last Ride
sequence.

The technical work is good.  The lighting is well designed and most
performers could be heard well, which can be quite difficult when
there are so many solo singers.

With over 250 involved with this production, it truly has a fantastic
community feel that keeps your hands clapping and feet tapping right
to the final number.
