16 young people aged 15 – 30 needed for one-act play “WAR LETTERS” in July 2023.
The story of soldiers, nurses and those that were left behind.
WWI solider Ben writes to his younger brother, begging him not to enlist. WWII Nurse Elsie tells her sister that she made a mistake coming over; she doesn’t know if she’s strong enough to handle all the blood. Back at home, Tammy struggles with the fact that her boyfriend Tyler, a soldier in the Vietnam war, didn’t make it. Billy tells his Mum that lying about his age to enlist was just about the stupidest thing he’s ever done. And WWII Soldier John has the difficult job of writing to his girlfriend, letting her know that this will be his last letter. 16 young people struggle with the affects of war and share their stories through letters. They all have one thing in common: they’re not the same person anymore.
Saturday mornings from June 3rd.
Sunday February 19th 11am – 1pm at the Stirling RSL Hall. Group audition.
