UBU
11 March 1988 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Pa Ubu at the urgings of Ma Ubu assassinates the King and begins his own reign. Written as a face based on Shakespeare’s MACBETH, Unley Youth Theatre’s interpretation of UBU promises to be one of the Fringe’s most interesting productions.
UBU is an exciting comedy, which when first performed in 1896 changed the course of theatre history. It was instantly notorious and is still a challenging piece of theatre which invites innovation and interpretation.
This performance is ideal for schools who are studying MACBETH.
Performed by our 18-25 year old group it is an excellent example of the power and freshness of Youth Theatre.
