SYNOPSIS:
The Trail to Oregon is set in the 1800’s and is based off of the Oregon Trail computer game. The musical follows the story of a low-class family on their journey to Oregon after their farm burnt down and the challenges and encounters, they face along the way.
CHARACTERS:
Father: After accidentally burning down the family farm, he decides to take his family to Oregon in the hopes of starting fresh.
Mother: Her goal is to make it to Oregon alive with her whole family. She likes to however play dead.
Daughter: Being chased after by McDoon.
Son: Seven-year-old who when reaching Oregon, has a desire to go skinny dipping.
Grandpa: Fought a personal war against lobsters, claiming to have won and sent them to the sea. His lover Eleanor left him for his ex-best friend: Cornwallis.
Cletus Jones: McDoon’s partner in crime, helping to capture the daughter and on his way to Oregon.
McDoon: Also known as the Bandit King, his main objective is to marry the daughter.
General Store Guy: A general store owner whom provides himself on being a good ox owner.
Cornwallis: Grandpa’s ex best friend.
Ox: He is sold to Father by the General Store Guy who is part monster and is implied to be part human.

*Grandpa and Cletus Jones are normally played by the same actor however this is subject to change*
*McDoon, General Store Guy, Cornwallis and the Ox will be played by the same actor*
Rehearsals:
Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30pm – 9:30pm from July
Sundays 2-5pm from September
Performances:
TBC November 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th. With the potential for a matinee show.
Auditions:
Saturday 18th June 6pm-9pm
Sunday 19th June 1pm – 5pm
