The Private Secretary by Charles Hawtrey

8 August 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Synopsis

Douglas Cattermole is an ordinary young man with an extraordinary problem. His aunt is paying his way through Uni on the requirement that he is misspending his youth and sowing his wild oats. The only problem is, he hasn’t sown any!  When his aunt, who was safely tucked away in Malaya, decides to come and check up on him, he legs it to the country house of a friend, disguised as a private secretary. When his aunt and the real private secretary show up, and he inadvertently falls in love, the stage is set for a comedy of manners combined with a comedy of errors!

The play is set in England in the swinging 60s.
