‘Influence’ is a 2005 play by David Williamson about a right-wing radio “shock jock”. A scathing and bitingly funny play about the media personalities that dominate our lives and the divisions that can shatter families.
On the radio, Ziggi Blasco knows how to turn fear into hate. A talk-back host whose power rests in his influence over his audience, he fills Sydney’s airwaves with his appeals to a particular brand of ‘common sense’, his hard stance on terrorists and his lashings at political correctness.
But in the private sphere, Ziggi’s influence is fading away.

Cast: 3 male (ages – 40s to 80s), 4 female (ages -17 to 50)
Season: Friday, 11th – Saturday, 26th September 2026, with performances on Friday to Sunday.
Rehearsals: Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons, either in the Stirling Community Theatre or a nearby hall commencing mid-late July 2026
