Based on the events in the isolated Newfoundland town of Gander (pop. 10,000) on the day and during the week following the September 11 attacks, when 38 planes, carrying approximately 7,000 passengers, were unexpectedly diverted to land at Gander Airport. The characters are based on real Gander residents and the stranded travellers they housed, fed and supported. Uplifting, funny, sad by turns, we promise you will love this show.
