Synopsis:             A New Brain comes from the Tony Award-winning creators of Falsettos and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, William Finn and James Lapine, with vocal arrangements by Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown (The Last Five Years).

With over 20 songs, 11 cast members and an orchestra of nine, A New Brain is an energetic, sardonic, and comical musical about unforeseen life events reminding us of who we are, what we’re made of, and who we hope to be.

Gordon Schwinn is a neurotic, frustrated composer desperate to write a Broadway Musical. But he has three problems; He is confronted with a life-threatening illness; he’s stuck composing songs for a maniacal children’s TV show character called Mr Bungee and his lover Roger would rather be sailing.

With music inspired by Broadway composers like Sondheim, Bernstein, Porter, Rogers and Hart and a story based on the real life of its composer William Finn and his close call with destiny, A New Brain is a love letter to the healing power of heart and music.
