The society owes a vote of thanks to our former editor and Society founder, Philip Halsall, for the job he has done in getting the organisation and Encore magazine so very well established. We fully understand Philip’s reluctant withdrawall and appreciate his promise to remain an active supporter and contributor.
As your new editor and correspondent, I have no intention at this stage to make any significant format changes and will generally follow the guidelines that Philip has so well established. At the same time, I would assure readers that I am ever at their disposal and look foreward to receiving any comments or suggestions for improving the magazine and the services that it provides. It is after all the regular organ of associated groups and individuals with a common purpose and and common goals. It’s intention is to communicate what is happening in our field throughout South Australia. If we don’t hear from you to the contrary, we must assume we are doing it correctly. If that is not the case, please tell us about it. Give us your thoughts and, equally importantly, keep us advised about your activities and events, in fact anything of a newsworthy nature.
Finally, I must iterate Philip’s concern last issue about member groups who have been more than a littl tardy in paying their subscriptions. On the basis of promises we continue to support and publicise their productions. This is certainly not fair to those who so vigorously support and assist us. Please check and see that you are financial.
