From the Editor

Readers may have some noticed some subtle changes in the magazine layout. This is primarily because yours faithfully has been getting some help putting it together! Just in case anybody was wondering!

The Committee have been putting ideas into the ‘think tank’ with respect to projects we can undertake to help our members collectively.

One of the ideas currently under review is a block advertising plan.

What we are trying to do is to consolidate all the amateur group advertising in The Advertiser, in the Saturday edition, into a regular column. Most of the current advertisers realise that when they advertise in the press, sometimes their small ad is slotted in to the nearest available space. Of course this results in the smaller ads becoming dotted all over the page.

It is also envisaged that the the column will be able to used for audition notices or coming attractions, as well as current productions. At the moment we are still looking at costs, but it is hoped that the same advertising space will actually cost you, the advertising group, less.

We will keep you informed. Any further suggestions will be most welcome.

Please remember that we are holding a fund raising Quiz Night on Saturday May 14th the cost is only $3 and it would be wonderful opportunity to meet some of the member groups’ members!

From the membership renewals received to date, these are the Members who are currently giving a concession to ATS members who produce their membership cards!
