50 years of involvement in amateur theatre is no mean feat. Apart from a talented performer, Barry Hill has directed, musically directed, choreographed and costumed for many of the companies in Adelaide. He is a keen mentor of new talent and anxious to pass on his valuable experience. Barry is often involved with several companies in one year as his interests span the differing genres and he is in demand.
Having trained with ‘old school’ performers like Betty Quinn (of the Q Theatre) Bruno Knez (La Mama) and John Edmund (john Edmund Theatre) he has a deep understanding of the History of theatre and it’s practice. There will be few people in Adelaide theatre who have not worked with Barry, and may who wish to do so again. Barry is a worthy winner of our 2018 Bravo Award.
