Written to show up and send up institutional corruption after an actual event, Dario Fo’s 1970 farce ‘Accidental Death of an Anarchist’ remains relevant, allowing us to laugh in the face of high level cover ups.

The play begins with a sly yet charming ‘maniac’ being interrogated at Milan police headquarters. By impersonating a range of characters including a judge, he outwits bumbling police and begins to expose the truth behind a recent ‘accidental’ death in custody of a political activist.
