SUMMARY:Shakespeare in Hollywood
DESCRIPTION:The play revolves around the chaotic production of the 1935 movie of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ which starred Dick Powell\, Olivia de Havilland and James Cagney. \nIt’s 1934\, and Shakespeare’s most famous fairies\, Oberon and Puck\, have magically materialised on the set of a Warner Brothers movie\, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Smitten by the glitz and glamour of show biz\, the two are ushered onto the silver screen to play (who else?) themselves. \nWith a little help from a feisty flower\, a blonde bombshell and a movie mogul\, the results are raucous\, to say the least… \nIt’s a ‘don’t miss’ screwball comedy with supernatural elements. \nThis play is a fun-filled romp that pays homage to both Shakespeare and the golden age Hollywood. \nIt perfectly blends literary charm and cinematic spectacle\, offering plenty of laughs and entertainment.

SUMMARY:Bonnie & Clyde
DESCRIPTION:Marie Clark Musical Theatre (MCMT) is thrilled to present the South Australian premiere of this electrifying new musical from the legendary Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde\, Civil War\, Dracula)\, based on the true-crime story of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow\, the two small-town nobodies from West Texas who became America’s most notorious folk heroes during the height of the Great Depression… \nABOUT THE SHOW \nWhen Bonnie and Clyde meet\, their mutual cravings for excitement and fame immediately set them on a mission to chase their dreams. Their bold and reckless behaviour turns the young lovers’ thrilling adventure into a downward spiral\, putting themselves and their loved ones in trouble with the law. SUMMARY:Adrift in New York
DESCRIPTION:Written By: Addison Aulger \nCreative Team: Directed by Rose Vallen\nRepetiteur: Sandy McMenamin \n\nSaid to be one of the best Gay Nineties (1890’s) melodramas\, Adrift in New York begins at the Old Homestead where “our Nell” is enticed by the villain to go to New York and sing in a fine music hall. The second act is at a Bowery honky-tonk where she makes her New York debut. Then back at the Old Homestead\, “our Nell\,” having endured many trials and tribulations\, comes home after walking from the railroad station through a terrible storm. And—happy end—she’s still “pure as the driven snow!” \nAuditions will be on 26 April 2025 \nThomas Nave Room at the Arts Theatre \nSinging and dancing 10 – 11:30 am we will learn one of the songs and add choreography (just like a rehearsal). There will be no solo singing or dancing required. If you want to be in the musical numbers you must attend this. \nGroup audition for all Parts below: 12 Noon – 1:30 pm \nWe will read sections of the script as a group\, giving different people a chance to read specific parts. This will give us the chance to see how characters “fit” together. \n\nInformation Session:\n55\, Russell Street \n\nAudition Information: \n\n\n\nAudition Information #:0\n\n\nDate:\n26/04/2025\n\n\nTime From – Time to:\n10:00 – 13:30\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nCharacter Descriptions #:0\n\n\nRole Name:\nSilas Weston\n\n\nGender:\nMale\n\n\nStage Age:\n60\n\n\nRole Information:\nA Stern New England Farmer\, father to our heroine Nellie.
