Is it possible to distinguish between illusion\, reality\, and lies? \nExperience the deeply moving exploration of the human experience and the elusive nature of married life in the tradition of Eastern European theatre.\nLove and relationships take center stage in our new\, thought-provoking play\, as we follow the stories of Denny\, Sandra\, Albert\, and Margaret – two couples whose lives are intertwined in a tapestry of emotion and illusion. As the actors guide you through their personal stories\, you’ll be left wondering: what is real and what is just an illusion? This production serves as a philosophical fable\, exploring the elusive qualities of married life and the transient nature of the world around us. \nIvan Vyrypaev is a prominent contemporary Russian/Polish playwright who has received many accolades for his work\, including major awards at the Venice and Warsaw Film Festivals and the Stuckemarkt International Contemporary Drama Festival in Heidelberg\, Germany. He is also known for his firm moral stand against the current authoritarian regime in Russia and his vocal criticism of Russia’s disgusting acts against human rights and the unjustified war on Ukraine. \nPresented by Teatroff Drama – a multicultural Russian-speaking community theatre that is bringing European theatrical traditions to South Australia. \nIn Russian with English surtitles.
