SUMMARY:Seussical Kids
DESCRIPTION:Written By: \nCreative Team: Director – Joe Russell \n\n“Oh\, the thinks you can think” when Dr. Seuss’ best-loved characters collide and cavort in an unforgettable musical caper! \nHorton the Elephant\, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical KIDS\, a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners\, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff\, My Favorite Year\, Once on This Island\, Ragtime). \nTransporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus\, the Cat in the Hat\, our narrator\, tells the story of Horton\, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos\, including Jojo\, a Who child\, who gets in trouble for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton’s challenge is twofold – not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers\, but he must also guard an abandoned egg that’s been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule\, danger\, kidnapping and a trial\, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately\, the powers of friendship\, loyalty\, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant! \n\nInformation Session: \n\nAudition Information: https://nowproductionssa.weebly.com/seussical.html \n\n\n\nRepeated Fieldset #:1\n\n\nDate:\n18/09/2021\n\n\nRepeated Fieldset #:2\n\n\nTime From – Time to:\n13:00-16:00\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nRepeated Fieldset #:1\n\n\nRole Name:\nAll Roles\n\n\nRepeated Fieldset #:2\n\n\nGender:\nUndefined\n\n\nRepeated Fieldset #:3\n\n\nStage Age:\n\n\n\nRepeated Fieldset #:4\n\n\nRole Information:\nCasting young performers aged 6-14 for all ensemble and principal roles\n\n\n\n\nMore Information at: https://nowproductionssa.weebly.com/seussical.html \n\nContact: Joe\nnowproductionssa@gmail.com

SUMMARY:Ain’t We Got Fun
DESCRIPTION:Blackwood Players invites you to audition for roles in our up and coming production – Ain’t we got Fun. It is a character-driven comedy that touches on some of the issues of the time and so has elements of pathos as well as a lot of laughs. It is full of the frenzied dancing\, crazy singing and relentless pursuit of pleasure that defined the Roaring Twenties\, but behind the façade of foolish flappers and shady gangsters are people with hopes and dreams.\nAs the Speakeasy patrons\, the audience becomes part of the story and can experience a tiny slice of a fantastic period of history – “the war is over – time to cut a rug”.\n\n\n\nCo-Directed\nThis show is being co-directed by Sue Oldknow and Michelle Maclean.\n\n\n\n\nRoles\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRole Name\nGender\nStage Age\nRole Information\nRange\n\n\nBabyface Balconi\nMale\n50s-60s\nMajor Role. As the plot complications multiply\, the actors begin to forget who is playing whom and who is the real director — as opposed to the actor who is playing the director\, or vice versa. Then they can’t seem to remember who they really are\, as opposed to the people they are playing in any of the various scripts. Then things start to get confusing… \nPLUS \n“All I Really Need to Know I Learned From Being a Zombie” by Jason Pizzarello\nIn today’s chaotic\, challenging world\, we often don’t know where to turn for help.
