SUMMARY:Cash on delivery
DESCRIPTION:This fast paced British farce concerns a con artist who has duped the welfare authorities for years by claiming every type of benefit for the innumerable people he claims live at his address. Just when he decides to kill off many of the imaginary dole recipients because matters are getting a bit too risky\, welfare investigators show up. To outwit the investigators\, the con artist enlists help from one of his real lodgers and from his Uncle George. \nThere will be a video campaign to market the play.\nActors will be required to record pieces to camera and participate in a video trailer for marketing on social media. To ensure this amazing play has a full audience\, all cast members will be encouraged to share video clips on social media channels. Each actor will experience growth not only on stage\, but will be gain camera performing experience as well. \nAssistant Director Needed:\nThe director will lean heavily on the AD in this production. We require the AD to attend every rehearsal and to not only record blocking and prompt but to run the full rehearsal while the director works individually with cast members or on video marketing strategy. Once handed over after dress rehearsal\, the AD will also be required to stage manage the show. \nAuditions:\nSunday 7th of July\nBase 10 Community Centre\n10 Main South Road\nReynella \nRehearsal Days: TBA \nVenue: Arts Centre\, Port Noarlunga \nPerformances:\nFriday 1st of November (Performance at 8pm)\nSaturday 2nd of November (Performance at 2pm)\nSaturday 2nd of November (Performance at 8pm)\nFriday 8th of November (Performance at 8pm)\nSaturday 9th of November (Performance at 2pm)\nSaturday 9th of November (Performance at 8pm) \n\n\n\nRole Name\nGender\nStage Age\nRole Information\n\n\nEric\nMale\n30 – 45\nLead. 81 pages\n\n\nLinda\nFemale\n30 – 45\nErics wife. 41 pages\n\n\nNorman\nMale\n30 – 45\nLodger\, caught in the web. 56 pages\n\n\nUncle George\nMale\n50 – 65\nPartner in crime. SUMMARY:Going Postal
DESCRIPTION:AUDITIONS: – Sunday 30th June at 3pm.\nBakehouse Theatre\, 255 Angas Street\, Adelaide. \nFORMAT:\nAuditions are conducted in groups\, doing a “cold” read from excerpts of the script. You do NOT need to make a specific individual appointment\, but you do need to show up ON TIME.\nIt is not a requirement\, but you may find it useful to familiarise yourself with the book\, or with any other works from Terry Pratchett. It will help you get a feel for the show.\nIf\, after the group reading you would like the Director to see an individual monologue from you\, please let us know when you come in to auditions. Monologues should be no longer than 1min. \nPERFORMANCE DATES: Nov. 20\, 21\, 22\, 23\, 27\, 28\, 29\, 30. \nREHEARSALS: \nWe are trying an exciting new way of working by auditioning early and then getting actors to learn their lines before “real” rehearsals start. \nInitial rehearsals:   July 14th & 21st. (reading & character discussion)\nThen a break during which actors should learn their lines.\nRehearsals then continue on Tues\, Thurs and Sunday from September 1st.\nIf you are successful in your audition a full rehearsal schedule will be given out. \nPLEASE REGISTER YOUR INTEREST BY EMAIL\n(so that we know how many numbers to expect) \nABOUT THE SHOW: \nMoist von Lipwig is a con artist\, a fraud and a man faced with a life choice: be hanged\, or put Ankh-Morpork’s ailing postal service back on its feet. It is a tough decision. \nWith the help of a golem who has been at the bottom of a hole in the ground for over two hundred years\, a pin fanatic and Junior Postman Groat\, he’s got to see that the mail gets through. In taking on the evil chairman of the Grand Trunk Semaphore Company and a midnight killer\, he’s also got to stay alive.\nGetting a date with Adora Belle Dearheart would be nice\, too. \nIn the mad world of the mail\, can a criminal succeed where honest men have failed and died?\nPerhaps there’s a shot at redemption for a man who’s prepared to push the envelope…. \nCREW ROLES:\nIf you are not interested in acting but would like to help backstage or on FOH\, please attend at the audition time and have a chat to our Stage Manager\, Andrew Zeuner. He would LOVE to hear from you. \nACTING ROLES AVAILABLE:\nMany and varied – too many to list here\, but you need to be prepared to accept any role/roles you are offered. This is all part of the fun in a Pratchett show.

SUMMARY:UBU
DESCRIPTION:Pa Ubu at the urgings of Ma Ubu assassinates the King and begins his own reign. Written as a face based on Shakespeare’s MACBETH\, Unley Youth Theatre’s interpretation of UBU promises to be one of the Fringe’s most interesting productions. \nUBU is an exciting comedy\, which when first performed in 1896 changed the course of theatre history. It was instantly notorious and is still a challenging piece of theatre which invites innovation and interpretation. \nThis performance is ideal for schools who are studying MACBETH. \nPerformed by our 18-25 year old group it is an excellent example of the power and freshness of Youth Theatre. \nDirected by Grahame Gavin\nDesigned by Lou Westbury
