SUMMARY:Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood - Pantomime
DESCRIPTION:A fresh take on this classic combo of two famous tales\, packed with adventure and laughs aplenty! \nLegend combines with rip-roaring comedy as Robin and his trusted band of Merry Men try to outfox the baddie we love to hate – the Sheriff of Nottingham. Meanwhile\, Nurse Nellie Nickerlastic is desperately trying to protect the Babes from the clutches of the Sheriff’s bungling henchmen\, Snivel and Grovel. It’s fun and frolics all the way with a hilarious schoolroom scene\, not to mention the mayhem of Nellie’s haunted boudoir! Cram-packed with comedy\, this true pantomime version offers oodles of Chorus involvement\, audience participation and honest-to-goodness family fun!

SUMMARY:Charley's Aunt
DESCRIPTION:Written By: Adapted by Paul Thain from Brandon Thomas \nCreative Team: Director Barry Hill OAM\nbahill1@icloud.com or 0400 827 634 \n\nJack Chesney and Charley Wykeham are undergraduates at Oxford University in love\nwith\, respectively\, Kitty Verdun and Amy Spettigue. Charley receives word that his\naunt\, Donna Lucia d’Alvadorez\, a rich widow from Brazil whom he has never met\, is\ncoming to visit him. The boys invite Amy and Kitty to lunch to meet her\, also\nintending to declare their love to the girls. Fancourt Babberly (Babbs) uses Jack’s\nroom to try on his costume for an amateur play in which he is taking part.\nAmy and Kitty arrive to meet Jack and Charley\, but Donna Lucia has not arrived yet\,\nand so the girls leave to go shopping until she shows up. Annoyed\, Jack orders\nCharley to go to the railway station to wait for Donna Lucia. Jack soon receives an\nunexpected visit from his father.\nCharley receives a telegram saying that Donna Lucia will not be arriving for a few\ndays. The boys panic: the girls are coming\, and they won’t stay without a chaperone.\nFortunately Babbs’s costume happens to be that of an old lady. Jack and Charley\nintroduce Babbs as Charley’s aunt. \nThis production uses a new version of the script that has been tightened to two acts and uses less prosaic language. It is one of the classic English farces and a lot of fun to perform. \nRehearsals are on Monday\, Wednesday nights and most Sunday afternoons with the first few rehearsals in December then starting again after Xmas and New Year – probably 8 January. Ages are stage ages\, not age of the actor. \nThe following link gives you an example of the play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2H5Z-HrH-3s\ \n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nDate:\n05/11/2023\n\n\nTime From – Time to:\n13:30 – 15:30\n\n\n\n\n\nDate:\n06/11/2023\n\n\nTime From – Time to:\n19:30 – 21:30\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nCharacter Descriptions \n\n\nRole Name:\nJack Chesney\n\n\nGender:\nMale\n\n\nStage Age:\n\n\n\nRole Information:\nCollege student – early 20s.
