SUMMARY:La Cage Aux Folles
DESCRIPTION:Written By: Book by Harvey Fierstein \, Music and Lyrics by Jerry Herman. Based on the play by Jean Poiret \nCreative Team: Directed by Ben Saunders\nMusical Direction: Tammy Papps\nChoreography: Jacinta Vistoli \n\nLa Cage aux Folles began life as a stage play in 1973 and was adapted into a wildly popular French film premiering in 1978 which was remade as The Birdcage\, starring Robin Williams and Nathan Lane\, in 1996. The musical opened on Broadway in 1983. \nIt is a wickedly funny musical farce about two gay men\, Georges and Albin\, who have had a relationship for over 20 years. The two men own a glamorous nightclub in St. Tropez where one is the star and the other the MC. Together they have raised Georges’ son\, the product of a one-night stand years ago. \nWhen Georges’ son\, Jean Michel\, brings home the daughter of a very conservative French politician and announces their impending marriage\, slapstick comedy ensues as everyone tries to pretend they are someone or something they are not. \nThe stuffy politician\, his wife\, and the innocent young couple who just want to get married provide an hilarious storyline while Georges and Albin define the best of friendship and love\, the kind that only gets stronger through the years. \nIn many ways\, this is an old-fashioned musical about old-fashioned family values…..with a twist! \n\nInformation Session: 11/11/2024\n7:45pm Maylands Church of Christ\, Portrush Rd Maylands \n\nAudition Information: \n\n\n\nAudition Information #:0\n\n\nDate:\n24/11/2024\n\n\nTime From – Time to:\n14:30 – 22:00\n\n\nAudition Information #:1\n\n\nDate:\n25/11/2024\n\n\nTime From – Time to:\n19:30 – 22:00\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nCharacter Descriptions #:0\n\n\nRole Name:\nGeorges\n\n\nGender:\nMale\n\n\nStage Age:\n\n\n\nRole Information:\na star; the heart of the show; mature and attractive (40 to 60); good singer;\nenergetic\, loving and caring; must move well. SUMMARY:Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier
DESCRIPTION:Marie Clark Musical Theatre proudly presents the South Australian Premiere of TWISTED: THE UNTOLD STORY OF A ROYAL VIZIER (originally produced by StarKid Productions). \nWritten in the style of WICKED\, TWISTED is a musical parody of Disney’s ALADDIN\, retelling this classic story from the villain’s point of view… \nJa’far is a hardworking\, honest politician in a magic kingdom that has fallen on hard times. To save the kingdom from certain destruction and ensure a happy ending for all\, Ja’far must do everything he can to get his hands on that lamp\, even when the road gets a little… twisted! \nIf you’re a fan of hit-musicals like WICKED and THE BOOK OF MORMON\, you won’t want to miss this laugh-a-minute musical comedy\, originally produced by the geniuses at StarKid Productions! \n8 shows only\, all performances at Goodwood Theatre & Studios (formerly\, Goodwood Institute). \nTICKETS\nAdults – $40\, Concession – $35\nEarly Bird – $32 (available until 1st October 2024) \nRATING\nTWISTED contains adult themes and strong language\, recommended for mature audiences only. \nPRODUCTION TEAM\nDirector: Kristian Latella\nMusical Director: Liam Phillips\nChoreographer: Vanessa Redmond \nCAST\nJa’far … Ben Todd\nThe Princess … Sash Elliott\nAladdin … Axel Moen\nSherrazade … Tegan Gully-Crispe\nPrince Achmed … Felix Setchell\nCaptain of the Guard … Scott Beauchamp\nThe Royal Vizier … Doug Phillips\nThe Sultan … James Hester\nThe Djinn … Michael Coumi (all performances except Saturday matinees)\, Gus Smith (Saturday matinees\, only)\nUrsula … Cara Brown\nMonkey/Bird … Jasmyn Setchell\nEnsemble … Alastair Veitch\, Cynthia Gustavsson\, Darcie Yelland\, Isabella Eddowes\, Isabelle Milsom\, Madi Grey\, Thomas Lawson\, Tielah-Jade Cannon\, Will Faulds

SUMMARY:Little Shop of Horrors
DESCRIPTION:A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash-hit musical\, Little Shop of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre-goers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney’s The Little Mermaid\, Beauty And The Beast\, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world. \nWhile working for a struggling florist shop in Downtown’s Skid Row under the stern management of Mr Mushnik\, the meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” – after his co-worker crush. This foul-mouthed\, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it\, BLOOD. \nCast: Kristian Latella\, Rose Harvey\, Kattie Elle Jackson\, BJ Peake\, Nic Equid\, Kim Anastasiou\, Madeline Grey\, Carolina Fioravanti\, Will Faulds\, James Hester\, Thomas Lawson\, Renae Milner\, Isabelle Milsom\, Natasha Payne\, Jasmyn Setchell\, Justine C. Lewis\, Chelyah Tandler\, Sarah Wildy.
