SUMMARY:Jane Eyre: A Musical Drama
DESCRIPTION:Written By: John Caird and Paul Gordon \nCreative Team: Director Andrew Hawkins\, Musical Director Rebecca Mason \n\nFifth Business Theatre Company are excited to announce our 2027 Adelaide Fringe production of Jane Eyre\, the musical adaptation of Charlotte Brontë’s classic by John Caird and Paul Gordon. The FBTC team heading up this project are Director Andrew Hawkins and Musical Director Bec Mason. \nCharlotte Brontë’s timeless love story comes to life in a sweeping musical full of heart\, mystery\, and moral courage. Nominated for five Tony Awards\, Jane Eyre is a haunting\, hopeful tale of love\, loss\, and the lies that secrets create. \nThis powerful adaptation begins in Jane’s traumatic childhood and follows her path to Thornfield Hall\, where she meets the brooding Rochester and confronts the fire and darkness of his past. Jane’s spiritual conviction and inner strength anchor her through every trial\, making this not just a romance\, but a profound exploration of faith\, redemption and the power of forgiveness. \nTold through ensemble storytelling\, the production flows seamlessly through time and memory\, using a dynamic chorus of voices to shape Jane’s world. Performers will have the opportunity to inhabit multiple roles\, and\, therefore\, the creative team are seeking a cast of dedicated\, team focussed actors who are willing to collaborate and experiment in this space. \nAs our first-ever musical at the Adelaide Fringe\, this is a landmark production for Fifth Business Theatre Company and an exciting opportunity for performers and creatives alike. With lush music and emotionally rich roles\, Jane Eyre promises to be a thrilling and deeply moving theatrical experience. \nWe’re also casting key roles for younger performers\, including Young Jane\, Young John Reed\, Helen Burns\, and the girls at Lowood School. This is a wonderful opportunity for young actors to be part of a major festival production and gain valuable experience in a supportive and creative environment. Auditions for the Youth Ensemble are open to young actors in Years 6 to 12 in 2026. \n\nInformation Session: \n\nAudition Information: https://bit.ly/FBTCJaneEyreAuditionForm \n\n\n\nAudition Information #:1\n\n\nDate:\n08/06/2026\n\n\nTime From – Time to:\n19:00 – 21:30\n\n\nAudition Information #:2\n\n\nDate:\n09/06/2026\n\n\nTime From – Time to:\n19:00 – 21:30\n\n\nAudition Information #:3\n\n\nDate:\n13/06/2026\n\n\nTime From – Time to:\n13:30 – 16:30\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nCharacter Descriptions #:1\n\n\nRole Name:\nJANE EYRE\n\n\nGender:\nFemale\n\n\nStage Age:\n20\n\n\nRole Information:\nOur story’s protagonist. SUMMARY:School of Rock
DESCRIPTION:Based on the hit 2003 film\, School of Rock follows Dewey Finn\, an out-of-work guitarist and eternal dreamer who poses as a substitute teacher at the prestigious Horace Green School. Expecting an easy pay cheque\, Dewey instead discovers that his straight-laced students possess hidden musical talent. Inspired by their potential\, he secretly transforms the class into a rock band\, determined to lead them to glory in the Battle of the Bands. \nAs rehearsals unfold behind classroom doors\, the students begin to find confidence\, friendship and their own voices\, while Dewey learns unexpected lessons about responsibility and belonging. But with the formidable principal Rosalie Mullins\, suspicious parents and Dewey’s deception closing in\, can the band make it to the stage before the truth comes out? \nPacked with infectious energy\, big laughs and plenty of heart\, this feel-good musical features a thrilling score by Andrew Lloyd Webber\, lyrics by Glenn Slater and book by Julian Fellowes. A joyous celebration of music\, teamwork and the power of being yourself\, School of Rock is fun for the whole family.

SUMMARY:13: the Musical
DESCRIPTION:NOW Productions presents ’13: the Musical’ at the Shedley Theatre. \nA hilarious\, coming-of-age musical about discovering that ‘cool’ is sometimes where we least expect it. \nGeek. Poser. Jock. Beauty Queen. Wannabe. These are the labels that can last a lifetime. With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer\, Jason Robert Brown\, (Parade\, The Last Five Years\, Bridges of Madison County) 13 is a musical about fitting in – and standing out! \nEvan Goldman is plucked from his fast-paced\, preteen New York City life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town following his parents’ divorce. Surrounded by an array of simpleminded middle school students\, he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain… or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?!? \nThe cast is comprised entirely of teenagers\, but the stories that come to life here are ageless\, the emotions they explore timeless\, the laughter and the memories they provide priceless.
