SUMMARY:The Pig Iron People
DESCRIPTION:It’s March 2nd\, 1996\, Federal Election day\, when troubled writer Nick moves into a history-filled halfway house in a small cul-de-sac in inner Sydney. The winds of conservative political change are blowing hard in Australia\, but satirist John Doyle’s moving\, funny and at times shocking play The Pig Iron People is not about politics. It’s an absorbing and sharply observed tale about different generations and how life\, love\, prejudice and memories impact the way we see ourselves and others. \nCast: Lindsay Dunn\, Brian Godfrey\, Nick Launchbury\, Leah Lowe\, Jack Robins\, Joanne St Clair\, Thomas Filsell and Deb Walsh. \nMature themes. Some coarse language. 15+

SUMMARY:Beauty and the Beast
DESCRIPTION:A traditional Pantomime\, packed with humour and new invention. The Dame appears briefly in drag – as a man! The audience will fall in love with a fast talking French poodle and of course\, the compelling relationship between Beauty and her Beast. \nBen Crocker\, playwright of this Pantomime re-working of the classic fairytale\, has been described as the wittiest and most original writer working in pantomime today. In recent years we have staged his versions of Sleeping Beauty (2017) and Puss In Boots (2018) with both productions proving to be a big hit with our audiences and Beauty and the Beast will be no exception.

SUMMARY:Twentieth Century
DESCRIPTION:By Ben Hecht & Charles MacArthur (2004 adaptation by Ken Ludwig). Broadway ballyhoo meets Hollywood hustle! This comedy is set on the luxury train\, The Twentieth Century Limited\, travelling from Chicago to New York’s Grand Central Station. Aboard are egomaniacal theatre producer Oscar Jaffe\, desperately in need of a hit show\, and his former paramour and protégé\, volatile actress Lily Garland\, who abandoned him for a Hollywood career. Oscar is determined to sign her for his new show. Lily is just as determined to ignore his advances\, professional and personal. Trying to make sense of the chaos are his long-time and long-suffering assistants Webb and O’Malley. Other hilarious characters include George (Lily’s lover)\, Max (another ex-lover and producer) and a religious fanatic escaped from an institution.
