SUMMARY:Good Grief
DESCRIPTION:Adapted for the stage from his own comedic novel\, Good Grief is Keith Waterhouse’s study of a middle-aged widow\, June\, who finds the courage to break with the past by having conversations with her late husband Sam\, formerly a national tabloid editor. Her stepdaughter\, Pauline\, determines to keep an eye on her. Likewise\, Eric Grant\, an ex-colleague of Sam’s. But June meets and befriends a man wearing her late husband’s suit – donated to Oxfam by June. It’s funny\, tender\, touching and achingly familiar. She finds bereavement far from straightforward. And as she empties skeletons from closets\, she learns there is far more to life than death. \nDirector: Angela Short

Charley receives word that his\naunt\, Donna Lucia d’Alvadorez\, a rich widow from Brazil whom he has never met\, is\ncoming to visit him. The boys invite Amy and Kitty to lunch to meet her\, also\nintending to declare their love to the girls. Fancourt Babberly (Babbs) uses Jack’s\nroom to try on his costume for an amateur play in which he is taking part.\nAmy and Kitty arrive to meet Jack and Charley\, but Donna Lucia has not arrived yet\,\nand so the girls leave to go shopping until she shows up. Annoyed\, Jack orders\nCharley to go to the railway station to wait for Donna Lucia.
SUMMARY:Carrie - The Musical
DESCRIPTION:Carrie White is a misfit. At school\, she’s an outcast who’s bullied by the popular crowd\, and virtually invisible to everyone else. At home\, she’s at the mercy of her loving but cruelly over-protective mother. However Carrie’s just discovered she’s got a special power\, and if pushed too far\, she’s not afraid to use it… \nBased on Stephen King’s bestselling novel\, the musical of Carrie hasn’t been seen much since its legendary 1988 Broadway production. Set today\, in the small town of Chamberlain\, Maine\, Carrie features a book by Lawrence D. Cohen (screenwriter of the classic film)\, music by Academy Award winner Michael Gore (Fame\, Terms of Endearment)\, and lyrics by Academy Award winner Dean Pitchford (Fame\, Footloose).

SUMMARY:Gypsy - A Musical Fable
DESCRIPTION:Gypsy is one of the greatest musicals of all time\, with some of the most memorable tunes ever written\, including “Everything’s Coming Up Roses” and “Let Me Entertain You”. Set in the world of burlesque and vaudeville in the 1920s and 30s\, this is the story of a domineering mother’s determination to pursue fame and stardom for her daughters.\nRose is the classic stage-mother: outrageous\, brash\, tough and larger than life; and her dream for success is a dream she lives through her daughters. Rose’s fanatic determination pushes her family’s loyalty to breaking point\, but from the most unlikely of places emerges one of the twentieth century’s most illustrious and ingenious entertainers – Gypsy Rose Lee.\nAs we witness this transformation\, we see a clear-eyed celebration of the complex impulses that drive all dreamers and wanna-be performers.
