SUMMARY:Little Women
DESCRIPTION:Produced nationally and internationally\, Little Women has been praised by critics for its ambition in adapting such a well-known story for the stage. This timeless\, captivating story is brought to life in this glorious musical filled with personal discovery\, heartache\, hope and everlasting love. The original production starred the unparalleled Sutton Foster\, who received Tony\, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk nominations for her performance. \nBased on Louisa May Alcott’s life\, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters Jo\, Meg\, Beth and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication\, but the publishers are not interested – her friend\, Professor Bhaer\, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice\, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America. \nFeaturing a brilliant cast of Adelaide’s talented musical theatre performers\, and a stunning live orchestra\, the Stirling Community Theatre will come alive with Louisa May Alcott’s iconic characters and a moving score.

SUMMARY:Current Economic Conditions
DESCRIPTION:Written by Don Zolidis\nDirected by Luke Atkinson-Copley \nLily Booker is facing the harsh reality of the economic downturn—she’s out of a job and out of options. Forced to move back in with her parents\, she must navigate the awkward dynamics of living under their roof again while dealing with the crushing weight of adult failure. As Lily tries to pick up the pieces of her life\, she’s confronted by her overbearing mother\, her laid-back father\, and her own pride as she grapples with the financial and emotional mess the recession has left in its wake. \nWith humor and heart\, Current Economic Conditions explores the pressures of modern adulthood\, the challenges of returning home\, and the bittersweet reality of growing up in a world that’s often out of our control. A sharp and relatable comedy that shines a light on the struggle to stay afloat when everything seems to be sinking.

SUMMARY:Comic Potential
DESCRIPTION:Alan Ayckbourn’s brilliant comedy about AI and androids taking the place of humans in a community television soap opera. Highly regarded film director\, Chandler Tate\, has fallen on hard times and is now directing soap operas and what’s worse\, the actors are actually non-human ‘actoids’. While filming\, an actoid\, JC -F133\, mispronounces words. What is interesting is that another actoid laughed and it was not meant to because it was not programmed to do so.\nAn aspiring young writer is fascinated by this actoid and sets about creating a new soap opera based around her. There are those in the company that want her melted down and others who see potential within her.\nAI and humans losing their jobs to machines is on the news everyday. “Comic Potential” is very funny\, very entertaining and thought-provoking. A guaranteed great night out.
