SUMMARY:My Three Angels
DESCRIPTION:After advising our cast and crew we can now share the sad news that\, in the best interests of our fabulous Independent Theatre community including audiences\, cast and crew\, our performance of My Three Angels must be cancelled – for now. \nIt’s Christmas Eve\, 1910\, in French Guiana\, where the temperature has dropped to a mild 104 degrees.\nThree Devil’s Island “lifers”\, Joseph\, Jules and Albert – two murderers and an embezzler – are on a work detail\, repairing the roof of kindly\, but inept storekeeper\, Felix Dulay\, his wife and daughter. Felix manages the store for his nasty-minded\, rich cousin\, Gaston Lemare. Panic strikes when Gaston arrives unexpectedly\, from France\, demanding to examine Felix’s books\, and threatening the family with eviction if the books don’t balance. Accompanying him is his equally arrogant nephew\, Paul\, loved by Felix’s daughter\, but now jilting her for a Parisian heiress. \nAppalled by the injustice\, the three Devil’s Island “angels” decide to rescue the family. So – with the aid of Joseph’s “accounting” skills\, and Albert’s pet snake\, Adolphe – they set about solving the family’s problems. \nSam and Bella Spewack’s wickedly funny adaptation of French playwright Albert Husson’s 1952 La Cuisine des Anges was a stage hit in New York and London. It was successfully filmed in 1955\, as We’re No Angels\, starring Humphrey Bogart (in one of his rare comedic roles)\, Peter Ustinov and Aldo Ray as the three “angels”.

SUMMARY:“THAT’S NOT HOW I REMEMBER IT” & “ORANGE IS THE NEW GLASS”
DESCRIPTION:Written By: Don Zolidis & Tyler Dwiggins\nDirected By: Alicia Zorkovic & Michelle Nightingale \n“That’s Not How I Remember It”\nMum and Dad love to tell the story of how they met in 1986 — “pretty much the most awesome year ever.” Trouble is\, they remember their courtship completely differently. Mum’s version makes their meeting sound like a sappy romantic comedy while Dad somehow makes himself the star of a karate battle. This tubular one-act is a crazy homage to bad 80s movies and the inadequacies of memory. \nPLUS \n“Orange is the New Glass”\nIn a fairy-tale kingdom obsessed with pop culture and social media\, fairy godmothers are lawyers and the Three Little Pig-arazzi chase celebrities. But when Cinderella leaves her self-absorbed prince and winds up in jail with an unlikely girl squad\, she doesn’t just cause a sensation–she starts a revolution. A warmhearted comedy full of clever characters. \nApprox. Running Time: Approximately 2 hours including interval\nSuitable for ages: All ages
